About our joint venture
WFL and Corridor Transport have combined forces to provide Mozambique’s energy sector with a predictable and efficient logistics solution. With decades of experience in haulage, warehousing and sea freight, our partnership brings together deep regional knowledge and modern cabotage services.
History of Corridor Transport
Corridor Transport traces its roots back to the late 1980s when André Nel and his father started a small family business hauling goods across Southern Africa. Originally known as Voortrekker Transport, the firm was rebranded to Rhino Trek in 1990 and steadily expanded its fleet and facilities. By 1992 the company operated its first refrigerated truck, opening up cross‑border cold‑chain deliveries into Mozambique and Zimbabwe. A trading division, Unifoods Southern Africa, followed in 1995 to handle the growing volume of food commodities. Throughout the 1990s Corridor moved everything from fish to pork and milk powder into the region’s most remote markets. In 2005 the various enterprises were consolidated under Corridor Logistics (Pty) Ltd, comprising transport, forwarding, warehousing, retail and charcoal divisions. Today Corridor Transport (also known as Corridor Logistics) leverages more than three decades of regional haulage and cold‑chain expertise to serve customers across Mozambique and beyond.
History of WFL
WorldFeeds LDA (WFL) was established to address a chronic gap in Mozambique’s cabotage market: reliable, scheduled sea freight along the coast to the remote Afungi LNG site. Drawing on backgrounds in engineering, marine operations and supply‑chain management, the WFL team built a service that integrates sourcing in South Africa with warehousing in Maputo and dedicated feeder vessels to the north. From the start WFL has emphasised predictability over ad‑hoc charters, maintaining a steady cadence of sailings and transparent transit times. In partnership with Corridor Transport, WFL now offers end‑to‑end solutions — from pickup in Johannesburg to delivery at Afungi — backed by a combined 47 years of experience in logistics and international trade.
Our mission
As a joint venture we are committed to supporting Mozambique’s energy and industrial projects with safe, efficient and transparent logistics. Whether it’s moving reefer cargo through our intermodal warehouse in Maputo or transshipping containers at Nacala, our goal is to de‑risk supply chains and keep projects on schedule. We invest in local talent, adhere to strict compliance standards and continually refine our services to meet client needs.
