From RSA to Afungi, end to end
WFL manages the full logistics chain so your cargo moves on schedule. Here's exactly how it works.
The 5-step flow
Group Procurement in South Africa to delivery at Afungi LNG site
Sourcing & export
We source goods from RSA and international suppliers with forex solutions available. Our team, operating through Afungi Export Services (PTY) LTD, coordinates procurement and ensures full compliance with South African export regulations, so your cargo is cleared before it reaches the port.
Export logistics
Our export logistical solutions cover the full RSA leg. We deliver and collect containers at approved suppliers for onsite packing, with 14 free days allowed. Breakbulk loads are collected and either packed in our Intermodal warehouse or delivered directly to site. Our fleet of 44 trucks, all Mozambican drivers with 27 years of on-the-ground experience, keeps the operation moving.
WorldFeeds LDA: Importer of Record
WorldFeeds LDA acts as importer of record, providing a single point of contact for our clients. Goods are priced in MZM at a fixed rate, removing currency exposure and simplifying procurement. WFL is 51% Mozambican-owned and 49% women-owned, fully qualifying as local content, with branches in Maputo and Pemba to keep things locally relevant.
Shipping to Afungi
Our feeder vessel departs on a weekly schedule from Maputo, calling at Pemba before reaching Afungi. The voyage takes 5–7 days with 500 TEU capacity and 50 dedicated reefer points. No road risk, no border delays, direct to site by sea.
Afungi delivery
At Afungi we operate container cranes with double-jetty handling. Cargo is distributed to site camps and laydown yards with reefer points on site. Customers receive 7 free days to return containers. WFL also provides a full container management solution, delivered and collected from your door. WFL's liability ends upon signed acceptance of goods.
